Nezhdanova-Placzek Duo is a professional, critically acclaimed chamber music ensemble. Cellist Dr. Roman Placzek and pianist Dr. Elena Nezhdanova established the ensemble in December 2015, following Roman's invitation to participate as a featured artist in the 2016 North Carolina Bach Festival. What was intended as a one-time endeavor eventually became a lifelong professional and personal partnership.

The duo is known for its beautiful performances marked by remarkable ensemble artistry, extraordinary musical nuances, and brilliant stylistic sensitivity.
